Pauline Drissell

Executive Director

Pauline draws on many years of management experience, with the last 20 years of her career in consultancy. She has led a wide range of consultancy assignments in the public, private and not for profit sector, latterly with emphasis on the housing sector.

Her areas of expertise include board and executive assessment and selection, coaching, leadership development, career management and outplacement.  Her work with boards encompasses NED recruitment, board appraisal and skills audits. She was a trustee of a national charity for seven years and is comfortable operating at board and executive level. She has a keen nose for identifying sound leadership potential, is an incisive interviewer, with a pleasant but probing style and readily tackles the difficult questions, which others might be disinclined to ask.  Particularly valued by clients is her ease with a range of personality questionnaires.

Her analysis of psychometric reports is insightful, and she has the ability to read between the lines.  She has a particular flair for providing feedback to both recruitment panels and candidates and this frequently receives high praise. An exceptional coach, Pauline prides herself on providing a creative mind, support and challenge to her many clients in specialist/technical and generalist senior roles over the years. She exercises a high level of discretion, such that you will never know who Pauline has coached, unless they tell you themselves.

She has facilitated impactful group workshops ranging from improving leadership, team-working and communication with the MBTI, to Away Days with boards and executive teams and outplacement programmes.

Pauline is degree-qualified, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Member of the Institute of Directors. She is registered with the British Psychological Society, to use a range of psychometric instruments for assessment and development including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator Steps 1 & 2, the OPQ, Wave Professional Styles and 360-degree feedback.

In her spare time, Pauline is a part-time foster carer for the registered assistance dog charity, Support Dogs UK.

What is Pauline’s tip for people wanting to make a change?  Write down your goal and you’re much more likely to succeed.
