Executive Director of Property

Cartrefi Conwy is a leading housing association, managing around 4,300 high-quality, affordable homes for over 9,000 tenants across Conwy. As one of North Wales’ largest employers, we go beyond housing, creating opportunities for our customers, colleagues, and communities to thrive.

With a modern timber manufacturing facility in Rhyl and essential property maintenance service teams this subsidiary ensures our properties remain affordable, high-quality, safe, and sustainable.

Following the launch of our three-year Together Corporate Plan in April 2025, we are now seeking an exceptional Executive Director of Property to lead our property teams including New Build Development, Asset Management, and Property Services.

This strategic leadership role is critical in delivering diverse housing solutions that meet the evolving needs of our communities while maintaining compliance and sustainability in line with our strategic priorities.

As a trusted leader and a key member of our Executive and Senior leadership team, you will:

• Lead by example, demonstrating Cartrefi Conwy’s core commitments: We do the right thing, we lead by example, and we are stronger together.
• Drive strategic growth, innovation, and excellence in property development and management.
• Ensure our homes are well-maintained, safe, and energy-efficient, protecting assets and enhancing tenant well-being.
• Embed a “one team” approach, fostering collaboration at all levels.
• Offer strategic guidance and leadership to the Board, Executive Team, and operational teams, shaping policy and decision-making.
• Champion the tenant voice, ensuring our property services listen and act, to deliver the diverse needs of our tenants.

What we’re looking for:

• Executive-level experience in property within the social housing sector.
• Chartered membership of a professional body, backed by ongoing continued professional development.
• Highly developed leadership skills, enabling you to inspire teams, drive organisational change, and develop talent.
• Commercial acumen with a strategic and operational understanding of the sector and a focus on delivering value for money.
• Ability to horizon-scan, identifying emerging challenges and opportunities.
• Strong governance, legislative, and compliance knowledge, ensuring the continued delivery of secure, affordable homes.
