Susan has a breadth of Executive level experience of Strategic HR, Organisational Development, Customer Services, Health, Safety and Compliance within housing organisations. With significant prior senior level experience in local government, specialising in, training, housing strategy and housing management. She has 16 years’ experience of delivering and advising on significant transformational change projects such as mergers, acquisitions, restructuring programmes/ application of operating models and TUPE.
Susan has supported organisations, delivering improvements in all aspects of people management development, employment law, workforce planning, designing and embedding HR Business Partnering activities, achieving high levels of success in employee engagement, supporting organisations to achieve Investors in People up to Platinum standard, achieve listing in the Guardian Top Employers and the Sunday Times Best Companies to work, designing bespoke health and wellbeing programmes, supporting organisations to achieve high levels of performance and Excellence in Customer Service.
Susan has designed and embedded performance management and competency-based behaviour frameworks and has extensive experience of leading workplace negotiations, with 16 years’ experience working with Trade Unions and developing Employee Councils through periods of significant change, having a positive impact on engagement levels and overall employee satisfaction.
Susan is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development and studied at Salford University, she holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Human Resource Management, a Core Management Qualification and has attended the London School of Public Speaking. She is registered with the British Psychological Society to use Psychometric instruments and previously has delivered Personal Safety Training Courses as an associate trainer of the Suzy Lamplugh Trust.
Outside of her work, Susan has been Chair of Governors for an Academy chain based in Manchester.
