Trainee Board Member

We’re looking for a top-notch, energetic and gifted Trainee Board Member to govern our work, help us forge and guide our future strategy and monitor how we are doing.

Futures can offer a great opportunity for an individual to develop in a Trainee Board role.

We are seeking applications from individuals who are interested in joining our Board as a Trainee for a two year term. This will give an individual a fantastic opportunity to shadow our Board Members alongside developing relevant skills. This vacancy would be of particular interest to those who have a an interest in social housing, enthusiasm for learning about Board Member roles, strong social purpose, want to make a difference, who are passionate about communities and who want to shape and influence our organisation.

We welcome applications from people who are committed to learning and developing new skills and who have curious and open minds. Previous experience and knowledge about housing is not essential.

You will be provided with training and development. In return you will need to demonstrate a commitment to the programme and to the organisation’s social purpose.

We are keen to attract applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences but particularly interested to hear from applicants where Futures and the housing sector are currently under represented at Board level (ethnicity, younger ages, disability, LGBTQ, living in areas of low social mobility).
