We’re a registered provider of social housing, headquartered in Birmingham with operations throughout the Midlands. We are first and foremost a business who uses strong commercial acumen to deliver our 100-year-old social purpose. Our mission is simple, we deliver homes and services that enable our customers to live independently.
We know that a skilled and diverse board is critical to our success and as we head into the final three years of our corporate plan, we are looking to recruit a new board member to join us in spring 2022. The role of a board member is to provide stewardship of the business as well as constructive challenge to ensure good governance and accountability. We want a Board that is highly skilled across several disciplines though we also want board members that think beyond their technical area of expertise. All board members are also members of board committees relevant to their skills and experience.
Our business is one where anyone with the capability, aptitude and behaviours to do so, can succeed, regardless of their background. Our board & committees are no different; we are proud of our diversity and seek to reflect the geographies across which we operate. We know that diverse boards & committees make better decisions. We have two board & committee opportunities for experienced leaders to support us in delivering our ambitions.
If you are an experienced leader, with contemporary experience of financial and treasury management gained within a large consumer facing business, we’d like to hear from you. Already operating at board level, you will have business acumen along with the ability to contribute to the full corporate agenda. Naturally you will be adept at reviewing financial and operational performance, isolating areas for discussion and challenge.
Application is by CV (maximum 3 pages), with a short cover letter which clearly demonstrates how you meet the person specification. Closing date for receipt of applications is Monday 31 January 2022 at 5pm.
If you have the skills and experience to help us achieve our considerable potential, then please see the ‘how to apply document’ and download the candidate information pack.
