Non-Executive Directors

Located just to the north of Newport in South Wales, Bron Afon Community Housing is a social enterprise that is run by people who love making a difference to people’s lives. We provide our customers and communities with housing and support services for over 8,000 properties and 900 leaseholders.

Our vision is that we are trusted to help build safe and strong communities, where everybody has a place they are proud to call home. Providing good quality, affordable housing is an essential part of achieving this, as well as providing encouragement and practical support to people who need it.

It’s important to us that we have an effective governance model in place, that enables us to draw on the expertise and experiences of different people in setting our organisational strategy and then measuring progress against the targets we set ourselves. We are looking for two new non-executive directors, who feel they can add value to what we do and who are passionate about committing their skills to delivering positive outcomes for people and communities.

For one of these roles we are looking for someone with a strong financial background and professional accountancy qualification to serve on our Assurance Committee and Board.

We are also looking for a property development professional to fill a position on the Ardal Homes Development subsidiary company board.

We recognise the benefits of cross sector knowledge and expertise so it isn’t essential that you have any direct experience in the social housing sector. We are also open-minded about your geographical location.
