IF YOU want to work in a place that makes a positive difference to people’s lives then you could be very happy at Muir.
Our teams help people with their housing needs and create neighbourhoods where communities can flourish. As a dedicated social housing provider with over 5,500 homes, we employ over 130 people
in a variety of roles and have also been awarded the coveted Gold accreditation by Investors in People. Predominantly based in the North West, Muir’s Chester HQ is supported by offices in Blackpool, Burnley, and Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire.
One of our key aims is to attract and retain talented, dynamic and satisfied employees to help us deliver our exciting strategies and objectives.
As Executive Director of Resources you will play a key leadership role across the Group. As strategic lead for Finance within the organisation, we expect that you will be a qualified accountant. But you will also lead on ICT within the Group, ensuring we continue to use technology to enhance what we do, pursue better value for money, and respond to the ongoing need to deliver our services in different ways. You’ll play a key part in our ongoing transformation work, and be heavily involved in strategic planning, working closely with the Group Chief Executive and other members of the leadership team. Key immediate priorities will include managing a comprehensive treasury review for the Group and the procurement and implementation of a new finance system.
While an appropriate finance qualification will be essential, this is only part of what will identify you as a strong candidate. We are keen to hear from individuals with proven strategic leadership experience, who can connect operational innovation to our strategic priorities and increase our financial capacity to invest in great customer outcomes. You may already be working in the housing sector, but we are also open to those from other sectors who can demonstrate affinity with our values and who share our commitment to our residents.
